The Madrid Symphony Orchestra carries out intensive Social Action work, developing projects with different types of groups. All these activities are part of the main purpose of the OSM, which is to "give concerts (...) to contribute directly to the promotion, dissemination and teaching of symphonic and vocal music (...)".
In this regard, we hold concerts in hospitals, nursing homes, schools and high schools, we invite healthcare workers and students to our concerts, and we organize concerts to raise funds for emergency situations, such as the La Palma volcano or the DANA in Valencia.
In the past we have also developed projects with young talents or activities with disabled people.
The OSM promoted the Fundación Arbós, with which it shares social purposes, designing joint projects including the management and promotion of the legacy of Enrique Fernández Arbós, great conductor of the orchestra between 1904 and 1939.
If you wish to support the OSM's social projects, write or call us and we will contact you as soon as possible. Likewise, if you have a social project to which our orchestra can add value, we will be happy to hear from you.
At each OSM Cycle concert we give around 50 invitations to hospitals (healthcare staff, collaborators, donors, ...), music conservatories and other NGOs whose main activity is related to music.
