After 20 years since its premiere at the Teatro Real, the classic and modern gem by one of the great opera composers of the 20th century, Benjamin Britten, returns to its stage. Based on Shakespeare's eponymous comedy, which also inspired Purcell to create The Fairy Queen (also featured in the 25/26 season), it is presented in a production by Deborah Warner, following acclaimed works in Madrid such as Billy Budd and Peter Grimes. Renowned singers, specialists in this repertoire, such as Simon Keenlyside and Iestin Davies, make up a dream cast.
